Mr. Sunrise

I’m Simon, better known as Mr. Sunrise. I’m the founder of Sunrise Skin Art and a Belgian tattoo artist known for a distinctive style built around nature, strong composition and fine detail. Flowers, plants and animals form the foundation of most of my work, sometimes combined with subtle fantasy elements to create something unique and personal.

Over the years, I have built a strong reputation within my style and won 16 tattoo awards, including a Best of Show award and an award at the Brussels Tattoo Convention, one of the largest and most respected tattoo conventions in Belgium. My work has also been published in 5 tattoo magazines, and I have had the honour of serving as a jury member at a tattoo convention.

Every tattoo I create is drawn from scratch. I do not work with Pinterest copies or reproduce someone else’s design. Each piece is created specifically for the person who will wear it, with the goal of making something original that still feels right decades from now.

For every project, I take the time to listen to the client’s ideas and translate them into my own artistic language. Whether it is a large botanical composition, an animal piece, floral work or something with a darker or more fantastical direction, every design receives the same attention and care.

For me, tattooing is about more than simply putting an image on skin. It is about creating a piece of art that becomes part of someone for life.
